A quiet Tuesday that changed a family

There was no ceremony and no camera crew — just a set of keys, a driveway, and a mother who no longer had to plan her week around a bus timetable.

There was no ceremony and no camera crew. Just a set of keys, a driveway in north Tarrant County, and a mother who had spent two years planning every week around a bus timetable.

What reliable transport actually buys

People talk about a car as convenience. For the families we work with it is closer to time — the forty minutes each way that a bus adds to a school run, the shift you cannot take because the route stops at nine.

She told us the first thing she did was drive her daughter to a Saturday swimming lesson. It had been on the list for three years.

How the vehicle got there

The car arrived as a donation in March with 140,000 miles and a failing alternator. Our technicians replaced the alternator and the timing belt, sorted two brake lines, and put it through a full safety inspection before it was cleared.

  • Full diagnostic and safety inspection
  • Alternator and timing belt replaced
  • Brake lines repaired, four new tyres
  • One year of complimentary maintenance
